Maltese Brewing Company was founded and started by Bobby Cook and Joseph Smith. These two firefighters have a passion for craft beer. When the two heroes were not saving homeless babies from their burning mansions, they loved getting together to create delicious home brews. After many more brewing sessions, they decided to sell their beer! Eight years ago they opened their first nano-brewery in Fredericksburg and less than a year ago, they opened a second nano-brewery in Tappahannock. Current owners are Brian Bailey, Everett Hinson, Booby Cook, and Bruce Bolieau.
Stephen Matters hales from King George and is one talented Brewer! When he's not brewing beer, he is drinking it for quality control purposes... of course!
Our Vanilla Brown was voted the #1 Brown Ale in Virginia!
Our Bank Down Vanilla Brown is an English Ale with loads of whole vanilla beans and roasted malts. The nose on this brown is as beautiful as the Mona Lisa with the taste equally as gorgeous. We offer 14 to 16 delicious craft beers
An English IPA: On the nose it screams pineappely goodness. On the tongue, the bitterness of the Horizon hops hits you up front, then is mellowed out by the sweet fruitiness of the fresh pineapple. It finishes with the mild and succulent flavor of the Galaxy, Amarillo, and Denali hops that leaves you yearning for more.
. Farmhouse Ale - Saison: This our twist on a Belgian-Style Saison. It holds that classic Belgian sting you search for in most American Saisons, and ends with a beautifully clean, slightly peppery finish. One of our incredible starter brews.
COMING BACK SOON!
Blonde Ale: Has all of the intangibles you want in a blonde. Mild, light, slightly sweet, and no matter what level of craft drinker you happen to be, you can enjoy this ode to a firefighter's favorite thing (second to saving lives aka being a hero).

Poor Mans lager that takes much less time to make! Smooth and crisp taste that mimics a lager! This is for you light beer drinkers.
Originally released for the Kentucky Derby, this amazing darker cream ale has made waves throughout our clientele and has solidified itself as one of our most popular recurring taps. With the slight taste of French toast mixed with hints of caramel, roasted maple, it is something different and amazing.
Brown Ale - American: With loads of whole vanilla beans and roasted malts, the nose on this brown is as beautiful as the Mona Lisa, with the taste equally as gorgeous. The menage trois of chocolate, victory, and caramel malts combine to create a lovechild that will trap you for eternity.
Hard Selzer: An orange creamsicle hard seltzer.
A malty toasted oat beer, perfect for this time of year.
Pale Ale - American: An American interpretation of a classic English style Ale. The American pale ale is characterized by floral, fruity, citrus-like piney, resinous, or sulfur-like American-variety hop character, producing medium to medium-high hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. American=style pale ales have medium body and low-to medium maltiness that may include low caramel malt character.
Sour - Berliner Weisse: Dry, tart Berliner Weisse with a champagne feel. Playful, bready, herbal funk hints.
Light, bubbly and sweet. We have many syrup flavors, which could be added.
Pale Ale - American: This pale ale has hints of citrus and a hoppy bite! Light bodied, hoppy, bitter, salty and acidic. Pine and pineapple. Clear golden pour with pretty good head and lacing. Good body and bitter end. Pleasant pale ale.
Pastry Stout: A chocolate pastry stout with notes of salted caramel, and malty sweetness.
Wheat Beer: Traditional and refreshing. This beer takes you to the beautiful German countryside while never having to leave the states. Subtle banana and bubblegum notes are brought to the forefront with a refreshing wheaty body.
Pilsner - Other: Solid, crisp, clean, bready malts and spicy lemony hops. Snappy finish.
PA - New England/Hazy: Smooth and easy drinking hazy IPA with a hint of orange peel. A crushable IPA.
We brew our own sodas.
Add a description about A great non-alcoholic root beer which takes you back to the old days, when root beer was thick, sweet, and tasty. The sweetness really shines through, with tastes of vanilla, wintergreen, and molasses.
